SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A half-mile section of Highway 1 between Larkin Valley Road and Mar Monte Avenue in Freedom near Aptos will undergo erosion control and slope repair beginning Monday, July 8, Caltrans officials have announced.
This roadwork will consist of a shoulder closure along the right side of the northbound direction from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Minimal traffic delays can be anticipated. Roadwork is expected to be completed by early August.
The contractor for this $82,000 project is Arthurs Contracting from Atascadero, CA.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over or slow down when driving through highway work zones.
