Description of Incident:
On March 22, 2013 inmate Jesse Parsons was released from the custody of the Santa Cruz County Jail when he posed as another inmate who has a similar name and physical description. Jail staff failed to follow procedure, and did not confirm Parsons’ identity prior to releasing him.
Parsons was last seen walking from the 259 Water Street jail facility in Santa Cruz toward the San Lorenzo River area. Sheriff’s Investigations is actively pursuing leads and information to bring Parsons back into custody as soon as possible.
Jesse Parsons was arrested by Santa Cruz Police on March 20, 2013 for several outstanding warrants. His local criminal history involves trespass, petty thefts, substance abuse, resisting arrest and domestic violence.
Parsons in known to frequent campsites on the west side of Santa Cruz. Anyone with information regarding Parsons’ whereabouts is encouraged to call 9-1-1.
