Physical, Social and Emotional Safety Experiences on Campus

Hola PVUSD Community! PVUSD is interested in receiving feedback from students, former students, parents/families, staff, and the community to inform decisions moving forward that directly impact our ability to ensure the safety of students and staff on PVUSD comprehensive high school campuses.

A significant shift in practice is under consideration to realign School Resource Officer (SRO) services and social-emotional counselor staffing levels to better address physical and social emotional safety needs on campuses. Your anonymous responses to this Physical, Social and Emotional Safety Experiences on Campus survey (https://tinyurl.com/yahs94hb) will assist us.

Currently, PVUSD contracts with the Watsonville Police Department to provide full-time School Resource Officers (SROs) at both Watsonville High School (WHS) and Pajaro Valley High School (PVHS).

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff provides a full-time SRO to Aptos High School (AHS) through a contract with PVUSD. PVUSD employs one full-time social emotional counselor at each high school.
