Pajaro Valley Unified School District recently announced the launch of a series of summer projects, made possible by Measure M, the $315 million facilities bond passed in November.
“It is essential that our community sees their investment translating into meaningful improvements for students,” said Heather Contreras, superintendent of PVUSD. “We are committed to promptly delivering on the promises made to our students, families, and residents, honoring their trust and upholding our responsibility to enhance educational facilities. Where possible, PVUSD is leveraging matching grant funds to make our dollars go farther.”
Site supervisors and site principals undergoing painting projects gathered a team of at least 20 stakeholders — students, parents and teachers — to help select bold, modern color schemes. Wherever possible, school colors will be used, moving beyond traditional two-tone designs to create vibrant and welcoming school environments.
“PVUSD is committed to excellence, transparency, school voices and honoring the support of our residents with results our students, staff, families and community can see and feel,” Contreras said.
