Red Cross Blood Drives

August 5 & 12

The American Red Cross has an urgent need for lifesaving blood due to a severe ongoing shortage.

The Red Cross has been distributing about 12% more blood products to hospitals across the U.S. compared to a year ago. The Red Cross needs 1,000 more blood donations each day to meet hospital demand and end the shortage. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially type O.

Donors who give Aug. 1-15 will get a chance to win a VIP trip for two to the sold-out 2021 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Donors in August will receive a free 4-month subscription offer to Apple Music by email (new subscribers only).

To make an appointment, use the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). In most cases, those vaccinated for COVID-19 can donate. Knowing the manufacturer’s name is important in determining eligibility.
