The organizing committee for the Redwood Mountain Faire announced they distributed $50,000 in net proceeds to local, school, service and non-profit organizations in the San Lorenzo Valley and Santa Cruz
Planning is now underway for the 2015 Faire. Applications are available for bands wishing to play at the faire. Organizers are also accepting applications for Arts & Craft Booths, Food Booths and Non-Profit Booths. Grant Group applications are also available for non-profit and service organizations to be considered for volunteer participation.
Twenty-four separate organizations split the proceeds from the 2014 Redwood Mountain Faire based upon the number of volunteer hours each provided over the weekend. Staffing for ticket and concession booths, hospitality, safety, parking and shuttle services and a variety of other tasks totaled over 2,300 volunteer hours.
A stellar lineup of top local and regional musical acts, combined with the relaxed family-friendly atmosphere on the open meadow has made the annual Faire a treasured not-to-be-missed event.
The two-day festival has been held the last five years at Roaring Camp in Felton as a community celebration to bring people together and to showcase local artists and musicians. It is made possible each spring through the dedication of the all-volunteer organizing committee.
Planning is underway for the 2015 Faire, which will be held the weekend of May 30, and 31; musicians and artists can apply now for consideration at www.redwoodmountainfaire.com
