Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Opens New Cottage Shop to Benefit Community Animals

UnknownThe Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is opening The Cottage Shop at 2260 7th Avenue (next door to the Santa Cruz shelter location) in Santa Cruz to raise funds for Santa Cruz County’s animals in need. The Cottage Shop will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 p.m. Join us for our Grand Opening on Friday, November 7, 2014 with extended hours from 12-6:30 p.m. Refreshments and adoptable dogs will be on hand to greet shoppers.
 
The Cottage Shop will sell up-cycled furniture, vintage linens, pet accessories, customized dog tags, garden art, crystal, kitchenware and other gently pre-owned fine furnishings. The shelter’s own Safe Haven blend Surf City Coffee is available to purchase along with other giftware.  
 
The Cottage Shop also features art classes with Gayle Ortiz of Gayle’s Bakery & Rosticceria starting off the series with one of her famous and fabulous Pique Assiette courses on November 15th and 16th. All proceeds benefit our county’s only Open Admission Shelter, serving animals in need in our community.
