Santa Cruz Symphony’s New Season is Here!

We will feature our first ever Concert Opera, Rossini’s irrepressibly fun, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, with an outstanding cast from the Metropolitan Opera that includes Ginger Costa-Jackson, Yunpeng Wang, Andrew Stenson, Ryan Speedo Green and Steven Condy.

We will also be presenting superstar pianist, Yuja Wang in an all-piano concerto program of Salonen and Brahms. And we will be featuring the recent Klein String Competition winner, cellist Oliver Herbert.

“Other highlights include celebrating current events and our present day with a politically themed season opening program of Bernstein, Beethoven, Mollicone, and Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony and, in collaboration with the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus, finishing our season with one of Verdi’s supreme masterpieces, his Messa da Requiem,” states Music Director, Daniel Stewart.
