Sculpture IS: Pajaro Valley Arts Exhibit

May 4 – June 19 • Opening Reception Sunday, May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m.

SculptureIS_Dr-Lees-Optical-Shop-by-Wendy-AikinCelebrating ten years of Sculpture IS, Pajaro Valley Arts (PVA) presents over 80 sculptures by 37 regional artists at PVA Gallery. Susana Arias and Hedwig Heerschop have curated an extraordinary exhibit that exemplifies the diversity of artists figurative to abstract; media including bronze, ceramic, glass, stone, wood, acrylic, mixed media; and processes including 3-D digital printing, casting, fabrication assemblage, direct carving and blown glass.

Arias and Heerschop have created events in conjunction with this exhibit to enrich the viewers experience and promote knowledge of the different mediums, processes and styles. The 10 tenth anniversary celebration will continue with our annual outdoor exhibit at Sierra Azul Nursery & Gardens beginning in June.


Participating artists will give process demonstrations and talks on Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m. – 1.45 p.m. followed by the Opening Reception from 2 – 4 p.m.

The PVA Gallery is located at 37 Sudden Street in Watsonville, next to the YMCA. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. There is no admission fee and the gallery is ADA accessible.
