San Lorenzo Valley Locals Honorees for the 2013 Hammer-Marcum Award

Bruce & Jeri Oneto and Talitha (Tai) Stills

Jeri Green Oneto & Bruce Oneto, underscore the interests and concerns that epitomize the San Lorenzo Valley community. Jeri and Bruce represent its neighbors-helping-neighbors ideal, the meaning of its history, the importance of involvement and support of its local non-profit organizations. Tai epitomizes the vital importance of educating community residents and businesses to promote environmental protection as well as its love of music and honor for musicians; she too has dedicated her life to nonprofit organizations.

The Valley Women’s Club (www.vwcweb.org) created the Award in 1987 to honor both Mary Hammer and Annette Marcum who represented the ideal of long-term volunteer commitment. They had already given thousands of hours to improve the quality of life of local residents, and continue to do so 26 years later. Jeri and Bruce, and Tai, join the forty-three others so honored in their names.
