Twenty-first Annual Event Hosted by Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group

SANTA CRUZ — The Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group (SCCBG) will hold its 21st Annual Spring Forward Against Cancer Black Tie Event on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Sesnon House at Cabrillo College in Aptos. The James Bond themed event titled Shaken, not Stirred seeks to bring together the Santa Cruz community in support of their current partners, and inspire new initiatives that can bring peace into the lives of those who suffer and a cure to end the pain.

Through these efforts the organization has a particular focus on new research and the development of improved and more effective treatment solutions for cancer.

Spring Forward Against Cancer 2016 will be held for a second year at the Sesnon House where diners will be treated to a four course dinner featuring fresh, locally produced specialties all created by students in the Cabrillo College Culinary Arts and Wine Programs.

All proceeds benefit the following Santa Cruz County organizations: Hospice of Santa Cruz County, Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services, Katz Cancer Resource Center, UCSC Biomedical Sciences, Santa Cruz, Teen Kitchen Project and WomenCARE Cancer Advocacy.
