When the Police Department and Fire Department arrived, they located a male who had been stabbed through the arm. During the investigation the victim said he saw a subject trying to steal his bike and confronted him. The victim explained when he confronted the subject he was stabbed in the arm. As the investigation developed the victim identified William Jones as the suspect in the case. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate William Jones.
Initially the victim in the case refused medical treatment. He later went to Dominican Hospital on his own and was treated for a severed bicep.
William Jones is currently on Probation in Santa Cruz County and is wanted on a Probation violation for a separate matter. William Jones is considered armed and dangerous, and The Santa Cruz Police is actively looking for William Jones in relation to this current assault. The Santa Cruz Police Department is asking the public to call 911 if they see him or know his whereabouts.
