and remain on display for an entire year. PVUSD and the County Office of Education funded last year’s show, but this year, there is not enough money to go around. So, we ask you to support us in our efforts to showcase this wonderful work. Click here pajarovalleyartscouncil.org to donate!
Many of you were generous contributors in November to an effort to collect art and music supplies for the PVUSD Schools, spearheaded by volunteers from PVAC. That project was extremely successful. We delivered truckloads of art materials and musical instruments to Amesti Elementary School in Watsonville, where it was given free of charge to a crowd of astounded and grateful teachers from the district. Here’s a sample of what we heard from teachers:
“I just won the lottery.”, “I feel so loved and supported.”, “This must be what it is like to be a millionaire, just take what you want!”, “This is going to make all the difference”, “I can’t believe this.”
Please join us to support our kids. Click on pajarovalleyartscouncil.org; send a check made out to PVAC, with a notation “school fundraiser” on the bottom, mailed to PVAC Gallery, 37 Sudden St., Watsonville, CA 95076; or if you are in the neighborhood, stop by the Gallery and use your credit card or leave cash. We hope to have funds by March 30th so we can order the frames!
