Offering High-Quality, Low-Cost Conservation Workshops
Santa Cruz County, California – A unique partnership between local water
Five different workshops offer expert instruction on home water-saving techniques and conservation principles that help protect limited, local water supplies. The workshops are all held at Cabrillo’s Aptos campus and are detailed on Cabrillo Extension’s website. Classes supported by this collaboration are:
- Design and Build a Water Neutral Landscape (February 28)
- A-Z Rainwater Harvesting (March 7)
- Graywater: Laundry to Landscape (March 14)
- Replace Your Lawn! (April 25)
- Walkways Pathways and Patios (May 16 and 23)

The Water Conservation Coalition is collaboration between local nonprofits, government agencies and water providers to promote regional water conservation. Contributing agencies include the Scotts Valley Water District, San Lorenzo Valley Water District, City of Santa Cruz Water Department, Soquel Creek Water District, and the City of Watsonville. www.watersavingtips.org
