Target Remodel in Scotts Valley Goes to Planning Commission May 13

Attention Target shoppers: Target will bring its plans to remodel the vacant Kmart in the Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center to the Scotts Valley Planning Commission for a virtual public hearing on Zoom at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 13.

The project includes exterior modifications to the 57,780-square-foot building at 270 Mount Hermon Road, Scotts Valley, parking lot changes to comply with the law on ADA access and the Target Drive Up program, and new signs.

The commission will consider the application Brian Leung of Kimley-Horn and Associates for a “planned development” and design review. The shopping center owner is Kevin Pratt of Scotts Valley Phase II limited partnership.

Jonathan Kwan of CSG Consultants in Foster City is the contract planner hired by the city for the project. He’s at jonathank@csgengr.com
