Tasting Under The Redwoods 2016

BEN LOMOND — The 2nd Annual Tasting Under The Redwoods, a food, wine and beer tasting event to benefit the nonprofit Valley Churches United, will be held on Sunday, August 14 from 12 noon until 5 p.m. at Roaring Camp’s Bret Harte Hall.

Twenty-five restaurants and confectioners; ten wineries, and four specialty breweries will be serving their signature “bites” and “sips.” Also featured at this “over-21” event will be live music by the popular band Soul Doubt, a silent auction, free parking, and other surprises.

The inaugural event held last August was sold out; ticket sales for this year’s event are well underway.

All-inclusive tickets are $50 and may be purchased at Valley Churches United, 9400 Highway 9 in Ben Lomond, weekdays from 9 am until 4 pm. Tickets can also be purchased at Eventbrite.com. If available, tickets will be $75 at the gate. For more information, call 831-336-8258, x228.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no government funding, Valley Churches United is dependent on donations from the local community to provide supplemental food distribution, crisis rent/mortgage assistance, utility needs, educational supplies, disaster relief, and holiday projects to those in need.
