Local Trail Runner is Fastest Woman at Lake Chabot

Tiffany Verbica of Santa Cruz was the top female finisher (and No. 3 overall) at Inside Trail’s 2015 Lake Chabot Half Marathon, clocking in at 1:47:48 on 2/21/15.

According to Tiffany, “I’m a renaissance runner. After a 15 year running hiatus, I accidentally ran a race in 2012, won, and haven’t stopped since. I’m passionate about trail running – it’s scenic, the terrain is varied, and I love the hills and intense elevation. It’s given me a chance to travel and see beautiful parts of California, meet new people, and spend time with my husband, also a runner. I balance trail running with a rigid gym routine, tennis, and hiking. I’m blessed to live in the Bay Area where I can run year round. I look forward to expanding my running horizons in 2015, but thrilled to know there are countless trails to still discover here.”
