Caltrans tree removal maintenance work on Highway 17 in Santa Cruz mountains will result in single lane closures this week.

This maintenance work is necessary to reduce fire hazards and protect properties next to the highway.

Tuesday, Sept. 22: the right, number two lane, of northbound Highway 17 will be closed from Jarvis Road to Sugarloaf Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23: the right, number two lane, of southbound Highway 17 will be closed from Glenwood Drive to Jarvis Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24: the right, number two lane, of southbound Highway 17 will be closed from Summit Road to Alta Vista, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Motorists can expect traffic delays of up to 10 minutes.

Electronic message signs will be activated to inform drivers about this roadwork.
