Twin Lakes Church School – Letters From Students Regarding SQCWD

Water Board Won’t Consider School Project

The Soquel Creek Water District Board of Directors has declined to act on our request for water service to our future children’s ministry building (or any other projects on their agenda) even though the campus redesign would lower our total water usage by over 35%. Some Water Board Directors believe the best immediate response to our water crisis is a building moratorium.

They will reconsider their decision at a special Soquel Creek Water District Board of Directors meeting in Building 450 at Cabrillo College on April 29 at 7 pm. The Water District Board of Directors has a very tough job. We are their allies in conservation. As part of that, we hope that at their special April 29 meeting, they will reconsider their decision and approve our project for a will-serve letter.

Some good news: This has given us an opportunity to teach our school students about water conservation, how local government functions, etc. See their letters to the Board!
