Two Shot in Watsonville

Watsonville Police Detectives are investigating a double shooting that occurred Sunday night.

Two victims were shot at the dead-end of Walker Street near the Pajaro River levee, shortly after 8 p.m. Both were transported to a trauma center where one remains in critical condition.

“We are working to develop suspect information and determine whether this shooting is gang-related,” police posted on Facebook.

Southbound lanes of Highway 1, just north of Riverside Drive, were closed for four hours Monday morning while police investigated. The Highway was reopened at 1 p.m.
