Año Nuevo State Park is currently looking for outdoor enthusiasts to join our volunteer family. A true jewel of the California coast and home to a large Elephant Seal rookery, Año Nuevo is 20 miles north of Santa Cruz and offers an uncommon and remarkable wildlife experience. Accepted applicants receive comprehensive training as docent naturalists; then lead guided walks through the rookery during the breeding season and act as “roving” naturalist interpreters for the rest of the year.
