On 10/9/13 at approximately 10:40pm, Deputies responded to Riverside Road in Watsonville for the report of a carjacking. Deputies were later able to determine that the suspect was identified as Nathan Anderson.
Local agencies were notified of the crime and Anderson was spotted by local law enforcement on 4 occasions within the next several days. On each occasion, Anderson fled from law enforcement with a wanton disregard for public safety, which prompted pursuing law enforcement to cease pursuit of Anderson.
On 8/12/13 at approximately 5:45pm, Deputies were able to track Anderson to a home at the 300 block of Ryder Road in Watsonville. While setting up a perimeter around the home, Anderson fled on foot through a heavily wooded area and was able to evade capture. While fleeing, Anderson attempted to gain refuge from Deputies by knocking on a nearby neighbor’s door and eventually attempting to force entry into the home.
Anderson was last seen driving a blue 1995 Honda Civic (3KKF716) on the morning of 10/15/13. Anderson has been known to steal several makes of vehicles but prefers Honda cars.
The suspect is wanted for carjacking, vehicle theft, evading law enforcement, and parole violation.
