The Santa Cruz County Parks Department and Supervisor Zach Friend invite the public to a ribbon cutting for renovations at Seascape County Park, including new turf, picnic tables and playground equipment.
“These improvements mark the most significant investment in the park in a generation. With all of the elements complete — many of which came from direct requests from park visitors — there is something new for visitors of all ages,” Friend said. “These renovations reveal Seascape for what it is — a rediscovered jewel in our County parks system.”
Accessible via Seascape Resort Drive, the six-acre park sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The unique playground equipment is manufactured with natural logs that echo the driftwood frequently found on local beaches.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided by Seascape Resort. In the event of inclement weather, festivities will be held indoors in Seascape Resort’s Rio Room.
