Four Local Students Learn New Skills
During the week of August 5, the Rotary Club of Capitola/Aptos sponsored four students at the recent Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) leadership camp. Attendees from Soquel High were Sandra Taylor and Helen Dillman. Those attending from Aptos High were Jade Kowalski and Jordin Iniguez. All the students felt the camp was a life changing experience that will help them as students and future leaders.

The annual BBQ was held on Thursday August 8. Members of the Rotary Club of Capitola/Aptos Doug Deaver, President, Sandra Wallace, Past District Governor, John Fisher and Keith Medeiros were there and were impressed by what the camp provides to help these young people develop their leadership skills. All four students will be actively participating in their high school Rotary Interact clubs this coming year. The Rotary Club of Capitola/Aptos congratulates these fine students!
