There is no other love like there is between a mother and her child.
When they are gone …
You will miss their laugh; you will miss their smell. You’ll miss their smile and quirky comments. Shopping will trigger memories of their likes and dislikes. The sunrise and sunsets will remind you of life and death.
Smells will trigger emotions and conversations, the road you travel will remind you of childhood ventures. Clothes remind you of their fashion. Food will remind you of their favorites. Movies will trigger an emotion. Outings will remind you of family times. Their life spent with you, now becomes that cherished memory that you once shared together and you strive to never forget.
Life will never be the same. You will have heartache, sleepless nights, numb days, and a void in your heart. Somehow you will convince yourself that they are now your guardian angel. Our little angel who will watch over us, speak to us, and who we will talk to. They will guide us to be more humble, kind and loving. Teach us lessons and give us a different appreciation to life. To be present in the moment, to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. To appreciate the relationships we have with one another, family or friend.
This is now my life. I have a guardian angel and his name is Brian.
