CENTRAL COAST –The AIDS/Life Cycle Bicycle Ride will use portions of the state highway system in Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties next week in the following locations:
- Sunday, June 2, the cyclists will enter Santa Cruz County on Hwy. 1 near Ano Nuevo State Reserve to Harvey West Park in the City of Santa Cruz.
- Monday, June 3, the cyclists will use Hwy. 1 from Moss Landing and southbound Hwy. 101 in Monterey County to San Lorenzo Park in King City.
- Tuesday, June 4, the cyclists will use Hwy. 101 near Jolon to the Paso Robles Fairgrounds in San Luis Obispo County.
- Wednesday, June 5, the cyclists will use Hwy. 46 West and Hwy. 1 between Cambria and Guadalupe. The cyclists will use Highway 166 West ending at Preisker Park in Santa Barbara County.
- Thursday, June 6, the cyclists will use State Route 135 and Hwy. 1 to Lompoc .
- Friday, June 7, the cyclists will use portions of Hwy. 246, Hwy. 1 and Hwy. 101 from Lompoc to Carpinteria.
The CHP will oversee these highway closures areas. Caltrans reminds motorists to be aware of these cyclists and any support vehicles.
