Four generations of musical groups playing to support the Aptos Arts Department
Saturday, February 1, @ 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30, AHS Performing Arts Center
Aptos High School alumni and teachers are coming together to play a benefit concert for the Arts programs at AHS. “Generations” is the evolution of a series of concerts sponsored by the Friends of Aptos High School Arts (FAHSA) organization for the past 3 years. The “Generations” concert will feature great bands and musicians that have been a part of the AHS Performing Arts programs over the past four decades (that’s 40 years for you older graduates) combined with musicians currently attending AHS.
All of the proceeds will go to FAHSA to support the Arts programs being offered at AHS. Several former bands of AHS Alumni will be reuniting for this very special evening of musical entertainment and nostalgia. Many of these AHS graduate/musicians have gone on to perform professionally with well know bands and musical groups.
Alumni bands scheduled to perform are: • Monkey Boys • Aurora Borealis • El Cuatro Verde • Freelanz with recording artist Keith Greeninger
Then there is the band Stratus that will be playing together for the first time in over 30 years! Band members are Bob Werdmuller von Elgg — Guitar; Jeff Cruse — Guitar; Tracy Rose – Drums; Daniel Lewis – Bass
Along with these great local classic Aptos bands, there will be today’s rock bands from both AHS and AJHS along with performances from the award winning AHS Choirs.
