Spread the love
By Heidi Johnston

Avalon Visions originally opened in 1993. Gwyneth (Gwen) Thomas and her husband have been the owners of Avalon Visions since 2007. First located in Capitola, the store was moved to the Soquel location in 2017. It has grown into Avalon Visions Center for Creative Spirituality. Gwen has had an interest in metaphysics and spirituality for as long as she can remember and has been an active practitioner since the 1990s.

Gwen Thomas, co-owner

Gwen is a clairvoyant and clairaudient. This means she is able to perceive things beyond what the five senses reveal. She is able to use this gift to provide intuition which helps clients achieve their personal, professional and relationship goals. She holds a Certificate of Ministry, law degree, and numerous accreditations. These are a testament to her versatile nature. She will provide consultations at special events, including parties, weddings, and life celebrations.

Her 2017 relocation from Capitola to a spacious vintage creekside building in Soquel gives her more space. The move added about 400 square feet.

“It’s great because now we have a separate room for the Reiki and also rooms for readings,” she says. The property has an enchanting fairy garden, a wrap-around wheelchair ramp, and a 24-hour well-lit community cupboard run by volunteers.

The public is welcome to visit. On the second Sunday of the month practitioners gather for the Psychic and Healing Arts Fair held at the shop. “It’s an outdoor event with vendors and open to everyone,” says Gwen.

There are classes, events, workshops and lectures. Activities range from drum making to lectures by social activists and featured local artists, such as Elizabeth Yuenfong. These are managed on MeetUp.com and change regularly.

Healing Light, Sound, and Aroma

“We are kind of a spiritual mix,” Gwen says.

In one of the integrated healing sessions three methods are used: Essential Oil Aromatherapy, Magnets, and a Beam Ray Light Generator. These deliver a unique therapy that renders medicinal, religious, psychological and spiritual benefits. The combination sessions are designed to target the needs of the particular client. Her signature line of essential oils can be purchased at the store to sustain balance and harmony after the session.

Avalon Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comReadings include Tarot, Psychic, and Mediumship. These are available in-person, online or by phone. Go to Practitioners at Avalon Visions to view the biographies of the readers. Anith writes, “I have been studying Tarot and doing Readings and Consultations since 1976.”

Tara has been a card reader/ Intuitive healer for over 20 years. She actively started putting her abilities to practice when she was a young woman, knowing the value of helping others heal is extremely important to her to be able to offer guidance to help people on their own spiritual paths. Jen is also available to do readings and provide valuable support for clients and consultants.

All are trained to use the aura camera. Located in the Aura and Chakra Station of the store, a biofeedback device interprets signals from the hands which are connected to certain organs. The result is a personal color montage. If you visit with a group of four or more she offers $5 off each report.

“It’s fun and you get to find out what your colors are,” Gwen says.
