Hospital Foundation Serves Children in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties
Bay Federal received matching funds through CO-OP Financial Services’ Miracle Match program for the Credit Union’s creative fundraising methods. Ways in which Bay Federal raised funds included: bicycle raffles, a “coin wars” competition to collect pocket change at the Credit Union’s corporate offices, and a pie-in-the-face challenge. The Credit Union surpassed the amount it raised last year by more than $500.
The funds will stay at the local level, benefitting the nearest of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation regularly serves sick, injured, and special needs children in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties.
Bay Federal is a full-service, not-for-profit financial institution that serves more than 67,000 members and 1,200 local businesses throughout Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey counties. Since 2002, 100% of all employees have given their own money and volunteered for numerous local schools, nonprofit organizations, and community events.
