Ben Lomond Town Hall Meeting

Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., at Park Hall in Ben Lomond

More than 20 years ago, residents of Ben Lomond discussed the future of their town and expressed interest in improving the pedestrian environment and expanding River Park, as well as access to the park, while preserving the rural character of Ben Lomond.

They also identified River Park and Park Hall as their most favorite places in Ben Lomond.

The participatory process led to completion of the Ben Lomond Town Plan, which was adopted by the then County Board of Supervisors as the blueprint for the future of Ben Lomond.

Now Supervisor Bruce McPherson is convening a Town Hall meeting to ask residents which of those projects they are interested in moving forward.

The Town Hall meeting will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., at Park Hall in Ben Lomond. Similar meetings have been held in Boulder Creek and Felton.
County Planning staff will review the Town Plan recommendations and identify which of those projects have been completed. Residents will then be asked for their ideas and priorities for Ben Lomond.

Following the meeting, the suggestions and ideas will be compiled and categorized by County staff. Residents will then reconvene to pick priorities and form groups to advance their ideas.

In addition to Supervisor McPherson, County Planning Director Kathy Previsich and County Economic Development Director Barbara Mason will also be in attendance.
