Evergreen Cemetery and the Chinese of Santa Cruz

Professor Traci Bliss delves into the mystery of what made a group of prominent pioneer men and women stand up for the Chinese in Santa Cruz. Bliss will share compelling stores of resilience and humanity from her forthcoming book, Evergreen Cemetery of Santa Cruz.  This event is part of the Our Community Reads program and will feature a total of 13 events running from Jan 28 to March 5. Each event ties into the themes from the book Patriot Number One, by Lauren Hilgers.
