FELTON — The San Lorenzo Way Bridge in Felton will be fully closed to all traffic from Tuesday, Sept. 15, through Friday, Oct. 9, as work begins to prepare for the replacement of the bridge.
Located at the intersection of Highway 9 and San Lorenzo Way, the bridge connects Highway 9 to San Lorenzo Way and Rose Acres Lane. The closure will be in effect 24 hours a day throughout the project period.
The closure is necessary to complete tree removal needed to relocate utilities and prepare the site for the San Lorenzo Way Bridge Replacement Project. Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin in 2027.
Drivers traveling to San Lorenzo Way are advised to use the detour route at the southern end of Mount Hermon Road. Please allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the area.
