Santa Cruz – Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley today announced appointment of Eduardo Macotto as executive chef.
Rich Higdon, general manager, Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley, said, “Eduardo’s passion for the culinary arts and reputation for creating menus with fresh, local and sustainable ingredients makes him a perfect fit for us.”
Macotto brings 15 years of experience to his new role at Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley. In his former role at the Toll House Hotel, he was responsible for all food and beverage operations and a complete redesign of the restaurant, banquet and room service menus.
Macotto states, “It’s great to be working where I live, in Santa Cruz.”
Prior to the Toll House Hotel, Macotto was the corporate executive chef at the Double Tree by Hilton Baltimore where he was a member of the executive team and designed the core signature menus for the property. Macotto has also held positions with the Sheraton Baltimore North, Flik International and Potowmack Landing Restaurant. Macotto received an AOS degree from New England Culinary Institute, Montpelier, Vermont.
