Juanita (A205765) is a sweet and lovable girl looking for true love for the holidays. She has a simple wish for a warm lap and a loyal friend to keep her company and teach her about the world. In return, she’ll give unconditional love, companionship, and keep your feet warm on a cold night.
She has been accustomed to being with other dogs and is polite with her canine cousins, so she might be seeking some canine friends, but she is also fond of human company and would do just fine as a pampered only dog. She was an outdoor-only dog in her previous life (boo!), and she is looking for a family that will embrace her as a genuine member with indoor (and hopefully in-the-bed) privileges.
Juanita needs some exposure to the world and can be a bit timid in new situations. She has an adjustment period but if she’s allowed a bit of space for that she does fine. Once she becomes comfortable, she will settle in to her new situation. Because she was outdoors, she is probably going to need some tutoring for housetraining, although a volunteer that she has been spending nights with reports that she’s doing really well with learning the routine.
The resilience of dogs like Juanita never ceases to impress and amaze us. This girl is joy on 4 legs. Juanita is a spayed female, cream Chihuahua, about 5 years old.
