I enjoyed reading “Memories of Pleasure Point”. I also enjoy remembering older days, especially when I biked to Soquel Elementary and New Brighton. Now it’s my kids who bike to school.
But times have changed, and there are more cars and more distracted drivers. Luckily, plastic bollards to protect bike lanes are an evidence-based and affordable solution to make our streets safer for these kids.
There are lots of things about older days we should get back to, but there are some changes we might consider too. Let’s get barriers on bike lanes and get these kids home safely.
