On 6/27/13, the Helping Hands skilled nursing center located at 2990 Soquel Ave., Santa Cruz, reported that one of their patients left the facility and they were concerned for his health.
On 6/26/13 at about 12:00 pm, William Laughlin left the facility on his own accord and was expected to return by 10:00 pm. He had been a resident at the facility since 6/21/13. Laughlin did not return to the facility that night as expected by staff members.
There is information that Laughlin gets confused or has lapses of memory. Laughlin frequents both the City of Watsonville and the Coral Street Shelter in Santa Cruz.
Laughlin is a 71 year old, white male adult, 6 feet tall, approximately 180 lbs and has blonde, curly, shoulder length hair. Laughlin was last seen wearing a white shirt and a black hat.
