Deadline to submit names for the 14th Annual Award due by October 31
Do you know a special person? A person who is actively concerned for the hungry, donating time, energy or resources to those less fortunate in our community?
Tell us about that person and how they are helping Second Harvest Food Bank accomplish its mission to end hunger and malnutrition by educating and involving the community.
Nominees
A Hunger Fighter may be an educator, an advocate for the hungry, an activist seeking food policy change, or a volunteer working to end hunger in our communities.
Nominations must be received by October 31, 2013.
Awards Dinner
Hunger Fighters will receive awards at the Second Harvest Food Bank Annual Dinner in March 2014.Thank you for helping Second Harvest recognize these fighters.
Please tell Second Harvest in as detailed a manner as possible in 300–500 words what qualifies your nominee as Hunger Fighter of the Year.
Be sure to include your nominee’s:
- Efforts to “educate” or “involve” members of the community
- Major accomplishments (e.g. pounds of food collected or dollars raised, number of volunteers recruited, community awareness increased, number of people served, years of service, etc.
- Anything else we should know about your nominee
