The little village of Willingtown comes to life as the annual Market Faire welcomes talented and exotic performers from throughout the globe to Willington’s streets and stages. Entertainment is non-stop all day.
The Northern California Renaissance Faire boasts music and dance from traditional Morris and English Country, to Celtic and Gypsy Tribal. Swashbuckling swordfighters render women defenseless with their charm and skill.
The original form of Renaissance theatre is played out on the Royal Garden stage in the form of the hilarious Commedia Dell Arte performed by the renowned troupe, Commedia Volante.
There are 22 shows and pageants designed to delight, amuse and leave you in awe. Foolishness and fun rule the day as ever-popular favorites, Moonie the Magnif’cent and BrooN bring their unique brand of mischief and humor to the Fools stage.
The town is buzzing as the villagers prepare for a visit from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and the most famous Privateer of the time, Sir Francis Drake. Happy peasants, crooked Constables, gossiping washerwomen, and merry maidens fill the streets with revelry as the festivities begin.

World Tournament of Champions
Performing at the Tournament of Horses Arena Armed with lances, swords and daggers, the World Tournament of Champions Joust Troupe present jousting and armed combat for Her Majesty’s pleasure. The World Tournament of Champions features an international group of veteran Jousters. Crossing lances is only the beginning of the fun and excitement this group delivers.
Will the Spanish Knight claim victory for his homeland from the English Knight, or will the Scottish Knight have the last say? The Knights will demonstrate their skill to the Lord Mayor at the 12:00 Tournament of Games. Then join in the company of Her Majesty at 3:00 for the Queen’s Royal Joust.
There are 15 Guilds as part of the Renaissance Faire to provide colorful and exciting crowds and Medieval pageantry ranging from the Royal Court of Gloriana, the Gentlemen Adventurers, the Constables of Saint Bernard, the Peasants of Saint Helena and the high spirited Willingtown Washerwomen.
