PVUSD Superintendent Dorma Baker Announces Retirement

Dorma Baker announced April 27 that after 40 years in PVUSD she would be bringing her career AR-160429713.jpg&maxh=400&maxw=667to a close. In 1976 she began her career in the District as a teacher at Calabasas Elementary School. She also taught at Mintie White, Valencia and Rio del Mar Elementary Schools.

“I have had an amazing journey,” stated Superintendent Baker. “I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be a Teacher, a Principal, a Director, an Assistant Superintendent and then finally the privilege of leading the district as the Superintendent. In the span of my career in the district, I’ve been honored to work with many outstanding and inspirational employees and leaders throughout the district as well as the county and to have had the opportunity to contribute to the success of students’ lives.”

As Superintendent Baker leaves PVUSD, she looks forward to spending more quality time with family and friends and beginning some new adventures.
