Visionary Artists, Light Art Exhibit, Steampunk, Music, Circus Arts and More Announced

Arts & Technology Festival Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comThe second annual Santa Cruz Arts & Technology Festival being held on Sat. May 13th 2017 at the Center for Spiritual Living, will feature tech exhibits including virtual reality, demos, robots, drones, interactive games, electric vehicles, solar technologies, and DIY Maker toys and tools.

Featured Musical Entertainment includes:

Stephen Kent: professional didgeridoo performer, percussionist, composer and recording artist.

Bicicletas por la Paz- a high energy, bi-lingual “latin-ska-reggae-funk” group. The Bicicletas bikes to gigs carrying their gear and instruments and then uses the audience to provide power for the band through a pedal-powered sound system!

There is also a highlight evening performance entitled “Inner Light”.  It is a colorful, dreamy immersive multi-media theater experience, with live music by the Junkyard Gamelan, William Jerome on his Luminescent Grand Piano, Jack Hertz, David Lester Potter, Andy Cook and Dr Now.  There will be special appearances by Jester Terrestrial (the Great California Mirthquake), Stellaria and Poleversity acrobatic dancers from Santa Cruz Aerial Arts, and stunning light projections by Liquid Alchemy, Mattaphor and Phoenix & Arabeth.

TE HU

Te Hu’s work is inspired by traditional Chinese expressionistic sensibilities and western technology. Combining artistic expression and proceduralism bring his richly detailed and creative ideas to life in hyper-reality.

DOUG  VOLZ

Working in northern California since the 1970s, Doug has been moved to explore, depict and share his extraordinary deep spiritual, psychic and tantric visions continuously

SUZANNE DE VEUVE

Suzanne’s art expresses the essence of Nature and mystical, divine source. Filled with the diverse human cultures and the flora and fauna of the earth, her paintings are stepping stones to awakened awareness, inspiring the collective raising of consciousness.

PHOENIX & ARABETH

As fantastical and visionary mind-circus acts and sensational soulscapes, the often playful surrealistic works of Phoenix (and his elusive, mysterious muse Arabeth) have been fascinating California art viewers for 50 years.

Clay creates art steeped in mystical experience, revealing a glimpse into the multi-dimensional nature of reality.

Santa Cruz Arts & Technology Festival 

Celebrating tech achievement and artistic creations, the Santa Cruz Arts & Technology Festival features innovative art, products, informational displays and demos from local and regional companies, tech start-ups and students. May 13 will feature arts and tech exhibits will be on view Saturday, May 13th from Noon until 6:30 pm and a multi-media theater performance that begins at 7:00 pm.

On Saturday evening, the festival’s popular highlight, a unique multi-media performance, will fill the main theater hall. This show includes a superb selection of regional talent — musicians, dancers, acrobats and light-artists. It features live music and cutting-edge visuals by multiple projection artists.
