SPCA Featured Pet: Munchkin

POTW_Munchkin Munchkin Times Publishing Group Inc tpgonlinedaily.comYou may never see a more adorable face than the little mug of Munchkin.  This 12-year-old Chihuahua is only four pounds and full to the brim with cuteness.  She’s a peppy little thing with a spring to her step and a lot of love to give.  Munchkin was surrendered when her owner moved away.  She sank into sadness for a few days but has since realized that there are many more people out there to love and to be loved by.  The Santa Cruz SPCA is dedicated to finding Munchkin her last loving home.

This sweet little speck of a girl is very friendly, charming and social.  She enjoys meeting new people and will often fall right over on her side and give her belly up for rubs.  Munchkin is wonderful around respectful children and is also social with dogs and cats.  She is leash trained, paper-trained and very well behaved in the home.

As Munchkin has aged, she’s developed a mild form of epilepsy, which causes occasional seizures.  At this time she is not on any medication and does not require any special handling other than some research on how to handle a seizure when and if it occurs.  Other than that, Munchkin is in good health for her age and should live many more happy years.

Munchkin and her orphaned friends, please consider donating to the Santa Cruz SPCA. The Santa Cruz SPCA is a 501c3 charitable organization and receives no government funding, relying solely on public donations to run its many programs that benefit the animals and people of our community.
