Mountainfilm for Students K-12: Mountainfilm on Tour’s education program introduces students K-12 to essential environmental, cultural and social issues with age-appropriate film programs curated by a Mountainfilm staff member. We currently reach over 18,000 students each year.

For middle- and high-school students, our playlists focus on compelling educational and inspirational documentary short films to get students thinking. These playlists target films that are timely, regionally relevant, or topics not commonly discussed or seen.

Films in these playlists include teaching materials developed by accredited educational consultants. These educational materials can be downloaded and include filmmaker interviews, discussion questions, resources and more aimed at engaging students and instructors in dialogue and in-depth exploration of identified topics. Mountainfilm in Education will also be shown for the 2nd year at Scotts Valley Middle School.
