SANTA CRUZ COUNTY– A three night grinding and paving operation will take place on Hwy. 9 in the towns of Ben Lomond, Brookdale, and Boulder Creek beginning on Tuesday night, October 1.
Work hours will be from 8 pm to 5 am at each location. The schedule is as follows:
BEN LOMOND–TUESDAY, OCT. 1
- There will be no access to Hwy. 9 from Upper Glen Arbor Road.
- There will be no parking allowed on Hwy. 9 at this location during this closure.
- On northbound Hwy. 9, Love Creek and Fillmore streets will be closed and traffic detoured to Main St, as a crossing point to Mill St., where traffic will detour to Hwy. 9.
BROOKDALE—WEDNESDAY, OCT. 2
- The travelling public can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. One-way reversing traffic control will be in place.
BOULDER CREEK—THURSDAY, OCT. 3
- There will be no parking allowed on Hwy. 9 at this location during this closure.
- On northbound Hwy. 9, Lomond and Forest streets will be closed and traffic detoured to Middleton Ave., where traffic can access the highway.
- On southbound Hwy. 9, Lomond and Forests streets, as well as Hwy. 236 will be closed and traffic detoured to Lorenzo Ave.,where traffic can access Hwy. 9.
- The travelling public can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. One-way reversing traffic control will be in place.
CHP will be present to assist with traffic control and parking restriction enforcement. The Caltrans maintenance crew from Santa Cruz will perform this grinding and paving operation.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over or slow down when driving through highway work zones.
