The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) worked with rescue partner, Animal Place of Grass Valley, CA to take in 96 Lohmann Brown Hens to be adopted out in Santa Cruz County. These hens were living on an Organic Farm in Redding, CA.
This farm contacted Animal Place as they are depopulating 13,000 hens. These hens will be available for adoption through SCCAS and interested adopters should call 831-454-7200 to be put on the adoption waitlist.
