This little guy resembles a man who’s lost his toupee, which is far less terrifying than what really happened. Ezee, a four-year-old, Yorkshire Terrier, was living in a home with a much larger dog who suddenly picked him up by the hair of his head and shook him violently enough to pull out all of his hair and part of his scalp. It was clear this living situation would not be safe for Ezee and he was surrendered to the vet who was treating his wounds. Shortly after his treatment, this adorably little guy found himself finishing his recovery at the Santa Cruz SPCA and is now looking to find a safe and loving forever home.
The hair on top of his head is starting to grow back and in a few months you will only see slight reminders of Ezee’s horrific experience. A home as an only dog or as a partner for another small dog would be best. Ezee is a spunky boy who appears confident with his little prance. He warms up to people quickly and loves attention and affection. Out in our play-yards, he seems to enjoy the company of other littles.
Ezee weighs in at about ten pounds and is an excellent traveler. He enjoys sitting in the passenger seat and after a quick tour of the car he’ll curl up and ride with ease. His energy level is very manageable and although he enjoys daily jaunts, he loves a lazy day in bed or a night on your lap. It’s clear that Ezee loves to be around his people and does not enjoy being left alone for long periods so his perfect new home would be with someone who has a lot of time to share with him. We would not recommend him to be in a home with toddler age children as he is sensitive around the areas that were wounded.
Yorkie’s, are eager for adventure and are energetic, brave, loyal, and clever. They require a gentle yet firm leader who does not allow them to get away with excessive barking or jealous behaviors. Ezee is a good natured little guy who will be a great companion for one lucky person or family. He’s sure Ezee to love!
